  • 1.1 What is a Scurry?

A Scurry is a product that has special pricing. The price of a Scurry can never increase. It begins at a set starting point and based off the number of products bought, the price decreases. The price decreases once a certain tier level is reached. For example, if a product begins at $1.50 per unit, it may decrease to $1.39 per unit if a quantity of 300 or greater is ordered. Another price point may be $1.19 if 500 units are ordered. The more people who buy a product collectively the more money each individual saves. Consider a product having 3 price tiers. The pricing goes as follows:
    tier 1: $19.99 1 - 3000 total units

    tier 2: $17.99 3001 - 5000 total units

tier 3: $15.99 5001 or more total units
If company 1 orders 250 units, they pay a price of $19.99. They did not buy enough to product to reach the next pricing tier. This is where the Scurry comes in. If company 2 orders 3,500 units, the price now drops to $17.99 and is now at tier 2. Those savings are not only specific to that companies order, but also to anyone else involved in an order with that product. Company 1 would now only pay $17.99 per unit. To go further, if another company ordered 2,000 units, all companies would now pay the tier 3 pricing of $15.99.

1.3 How is a Scurry beneficial?

A Scurry is beneficial because it shares large volume pricing with everyone. A Scurry is a recurring price that changes based on the total volume of a product purchased. Scurries benefit all customers involved in the purchase of an item. We combine all orders to create one global order, which drops the price of everyone involved in that buy. You will receive status update of your order via email.

1.4 How do products become Scurry's?

Products can become Scurry's for several reasons. Ultimately it is up to the management to decide if it will be beneficial to make a product a Scurry. Typically a product will become a Scurry if it is in high demand. Scurry that are in high demand will more rapidly jump to different price tiers. Another way for a product to become a Scurry is by submitting a request. Simply fill out this form and you will be alerted in a few days whether or not your product will be considered.

1.5 Can I request a product to become a Scurry?

Yes, you can request a product to become a Scurry. The final decision will come from management, but typically the more a product is requested, the better chance it has of becoming a Scurry. You may submit a request by filling out this form.

2.1 When is my order processed?

A Scurry is not processed until the products auction ends. This allows everyone in the auction to participate in the lower prices. If multiple items are ordered in the same order, the orders will become seperated. This allows us to process and ship the individual Scurries when they finish, respectively. This saves time for everyone involved in the Scurry.

2-2 What forms of payment are acceptable?

Credit cards are the only form of payment accepted. We do not accept checks or money orders. Credit cards are not charged online. The numbers and expiration dates are securely sent to us and are then charged in our office by a person, not by machine. This guarantees the safety of the transaction and reassures the customer that their money is in safe hands.

3.1 Can I cancel my order?

Orders can NOT be cancelled. Cancelling an order can have drastic effects on other customers orders. For example, one customer might not have bought a specific item if a certain tier was not achieved. Cancelling an order will drop the total quantity for an order and will in many cases increase the tier, which increases the price. To learn more about our policy please see our Terms and Conditions.

4.1 What are all the costs associated with my order?

When an order is placed there are typically extra costs associated with an order. Picnic Raid is unique. The price you agree to at the checkout is your per-unit price. This price can never increase, it can only decrease. The more customers that also participate in buying the same product help to lower the per-unit price. The ONLY other cost associated with your order is shipping or extra colors or locations that are not mentioned in the product description. Shipping prices will vary by weight, location, etc.

Other sites may have lower pricing tiers, but those other sites also have setup charges, run-time charges, and other miscelaneous hidden charges. At Picnic Raid, you are guaranteed the lowest price because we combine orders to bring you bottom tier per-unit pricing and wash out the hidden charges typically added by other retailers.

5.1 How is consolidated buying simliar to the life of an ant?

Picnic Raid was founded on the similarities between the life of an ant and the idea of consolidated buying. On Picnicraid.com, buyers are able to access bottom tier pricing thanks to the help of others. The more people who buy a product, the better the price gets, a once impossible buy for a single company becomes affordable. What is the comparison towards ants? A single ant struggles to lift a discarded watermelon slice, however when the entire colony helps to lift the slice, it is lifted with ease.

Small to midsize companies often get left with high priced orders because the volume of their orders is no where near the size of larger companies. With Picnic Raid, these smaller companies can finally access bottom tier prices thanks to the combination of similar orders of the same product. Our philosophy of "The more who play, the less YOU pay" could not be more evident. Lower prices mean companies can use their money elsewhere or possibly use their recently saved money to order additional promotional products. In either case, spending less and promoting more is beneficial for any size company.
